AILY Multi-engine AI chat

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026 · 中文

In short: AILY has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no ads. The developer does not collect, upload, or store any of your data. Your conversations live only on your iPhone, and your API keys live only in the iOS Keychain. Nothing leaves your device unless you choose to use a cloud API — in which case your messages go directly from your device to the provider you selected.

1. Who we are

AILY ("the App") is a multi-engine AI chat app for iPhone, built by independent developer Zishuo Yang (YZS). This policy explains how the App handles your information.

2. We collect no data

The App collects no personal data whatsoever: no sign-up or login, no user accounts, no analytics or tracking SDKs, no advertising, and no developer-operated servers of any kind. Nothing you create in the App is ever sent to the developer — the developer has no way to collect or see your data.

3. What stays on your device

The following data is stored only on your iPhone (and may be included in your iOS backups, as controlled by your system settings):

Deleting conversations in the App, or uninstalling the App, removes this data. Keychain entries are removed when you clear your API keys in the App.

4. Three chat engines and where your data goes

The App offers three kinds of chat engines, each with a different data path:

① Apple on-device model (Apple Intelligence)

Uses Apple's system-provided on-device model and runs entirely on your device. Your messages never leave your iPhone.

② Local open-source models (GGUF / llama.cpp)

Replies are generated on your device by open-source models you download (powered by llama.cpp), fully offline — your messages never leave your iPhone. Model files are downloaded from the official Hugging Face site or the hf-mirror.com mirror; these download requests fetch the model file only and carry none of your conversation content.

③ Cloud APIs (optional, configured by you)

You may obtain and enter your own API key for a third-party LLM service (such as Claude, GPT, DeepSeek, Kimi, Zhipu, Qwen, Gemini, Grok, or a self-hosted Ollama server). When you use a cloud engine:

5. Photos

The App uses the iOS system photo picker (PhotosPicker): the App does not request, and cannot obtain, access to your photo library — it receives only the specific photos you actively select in the picker. Selected photos are used solely for the current conversation. When you use a cloud API, photos are sent along with your message directly from your device to the provider you selected (see Section 4③); with on-device engines, photos never leave your device.

6. Network use

The App connects to the network in exactly two situations: (a) when you actively download a model file, it connects to the official Hugging Face site or the hf-mirror.com mirror; and (b) when you enable a cloud API, it connects directly to the provider endpoint you configured. The App makes no other network requests.

7. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and does not knowingly collect personal information from children — indeed, it collects no one's personal information. Minors should use the App under the guidance and with the consent of a parent or guardian, who should keep AI-generated content appropriateness in mind and exercise caution before configuring third-party cloud services for a minor.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date. The updated policy takes effect as soon as it is posted on this page. Please check back periodically. By continuing to use the App after an update, you accept the revised policy.
