Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

AILY ("the App") is developed and published by independent developer Zishuo Yang (YZS, "the Developer"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Nature of the service

The App is a local, tool-type application offering three kinds of AI chat engines: Apple's on-device model (Apple Intelligence), local open-source models (GGUF / llama.cpp), and third-party cloud services you connect with your own API key. The App has no account system, and the Developer operates no online services or servers.

3. Your content

Everything you enter and generate in the App belongs to you. Conversations are stored only on your device; you are responsible for their safekeeping and backup (enabling iOS system backup is recommended).

4. AI-generated content disclaimer

AI replies are generated automatically by language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or biased; they do not represent the views or positions of the Developer;
AI replies are for reference only and do not constitute medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice;
You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on AI replies and for their consequences. For important matters, verify independently or consult a qualified professional.

5. Third-party services

If you choose to configure a third-party LLM API (such as Claude, GPT, DeepSeek, Kimi, Zhipu, Qwen, Gemini, Grok, or Ollama):

Your relationship with that provider — including registration, fees, quotas, and data processing — is governed by the provider's own terms of service and privacy policy, which you should review before use;
You must have the lawful right to use any API key you enter and must comply with the provider's usage policies;
The Developer is not responsible for the availability, quality, content, or pricing of third-party services.

Open-source models you download in the App (GGUF format, from the official Hugging Face site or the hf-mirror.com mirror) are governed by their respective open-source licenses.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to:

not use the App for any unlawful purpose, and not use the App (including any connected AI engine or third-party service) to create, store, or distribute unlawful content;
comply with the laws and regulations of your country or region;
also comply with the applicable provider's terms of service and usage policies whenever you use a third-party cloud service.

7. Minors

Minors should use the App under the guidance and with the consent of a parent or guardian. Guardians should supervise a minor's use, keep the appropriateness of AI-generated content in mind, and exercise caution in deciding whether to configure third-party cloud services for a minor.

8. Intellectual property

The App's software, interface design, and icon belong to the Developer. Third-party open-source components used by the App (such as llama.cpp) and open-source models belong to their respective owners and are governed by their licenses.

9. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer makes no warranty that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, and is not liable for data loss, fees, or other damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the App — including third-party service outages or issues with model output. Please back up important content and keep your API keys secure.

10. Changes and termination

The Developer may revise these Terms from time to time. Revised Terms are published on this page and take effect as soon as they are posted, without further individual notice; material changes will, where practical, be noted in App update notes. By continuing to use the App after an update, you accept the revised Terms. You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time.
